Privacy Policy

This extension is built to respect your privacy. We do not collect telemetry, do not track your browsing, and do not sell any data. This page explains exactly what the extension does with the information it touches.

What stays on your device

The following data is stored locally in your browser only (via chrome.storage.local) and is never transmitted to us:

• Screenshots you capture, until you choose to download or delete them.
• Capture history thumbnails (200×200 px) of your last 30 captures.
• Source URL and page title of the page where each capture was taken, shown alongside the thumbnail in History.
• Settings — image format, JPEG quality, scroll delay, default capture mode, etc.

What syncs across your devices

If you sign in to Chrome with the same Google account on multiple machines, the following is synced via chrome.storage.sync:

• License key (when monetization is active and you've purchased one). This stays inside your Google account; we never see it from sync.

What is sent off your device

Information leaves your browser only when you take a specific action:

• Upload to catbox.moe. When you click Upload to catbox in the editor, the captured image is sent to catbox.moe, a third-party anonymous image host. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policy. No identifying data is included with the upload — it's purely the image file.
• Upload to a custom HTTP endpoint. If you configure a custom uploader in Options, the captured image is sent to the URL you provided, with any headers you specified. We have no involvement in this transfer.
• Remote configuration fetch. About once per hour the extension fetches a small JSON file from our server to check for feature-availability and version-update notices. This request includes only the standard HTTP metadata your browser sends to any website — no screenshot data, no personal identifiers, no browsing history.
• License validation (only when monetization is active and only if you enter a license key). The license key, your installed extension version, and the extension's ID are sent to our license server for verification. No screenshot data is included.

Permissions and why we use them

• activeTab & scripting — to capture the tab you're looking at when you click the extension.
• storage & unlimitedStorage — to remember your settings and history locally.
• downloads — to save captures to your Downloads folder when you click Download.
• clipboardWrite — to copy a capture to your clipboard when you click Copy.
• alarms — to schedule the hourly remote-config check.
• Content scripts on http://*, https://*, and file:///* — required to draw the region-selection overlay on pages where you initiate a capture. The content script is dormant until you click the extension; it does not read page content otherwise.

Data we do not collect

The following categories are explicitly never collected:

• Personally identifiable information (name, email, address) — except your email if you purchase a license, and only for that purpose.
• Authentication information for third-party sites.
• Personal communications.
• Financial information — payment processing is handled entirely by our payment provider (Stripe / Paddle / etc., disclosed when applicable); we never see your card details.
• Health information.
• Location data.
• Web history.
• User activity beyond your direct interactions with the extension itself.

Your rights

• Delete history at any time via the History page's "Clear all" button.
• Remove your license in Options to disconnect any link to your purchase.
• Uninstall the extension to remove all locally stored data immediately.
• Access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold under GDPR / CCPA: email us at thapadeepak726@gmail.com.

Children's privacy

This extension is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top and notify users via the extension's listing on the Chrome Web Store.
