Scrolling Screenshot Studio
Free Chrome extension for scrolling, full-page, and region screenshots — with built-in annotation editor, batch ZIP export, and PDF.
Scrolling Screenshot Studio is a free Google Chrome extension for capturing
scrolling screenshots, full-page screenshots, and region screenshots of any website.
It auto-scrolls long pages and stitches them into one tall image, handles sticky headers and
lazy-loaded content correctly, and ships with a built-in annotation editor, a multi-capture
queue with batch ZIP export, continuous capture mode for rapid bursts, PDF export, and
one-click upload — all local-first, no account, no tracking.

What it does
- Scrolling region capture — click any element (article body, chat container, dashboard panel) and the extension auto-scrolls and stitches the whole thing into one image.
- Full-page capture — top-to-bottom of the page, with proper handling for sticky headers, fixed pseudo-elements (
::before/::after), lazy-loaded content, and pages where the body itself is the scroll container.
- Region capture — drag a precise rectangle on the visible viewport.
- Visible page — one-click snapshot of exactly the current viewport.
- Annotation editor — arrows, rectangles, ellipses, freehand pen, lines, blur, highlight, text, crop, and a sticker library (pointer, tick, cross, warning, star, heart, question). Undo / redo / keyboard shortcuts.
- Multi-capture queue with batch ZIP — queue many captures silently, then download them all as one ZIP file.
- Continuous capture mode — the selection overlay auto-respawns after every capture so you can grab rectangle after rectangle with zero extension clicks. Right-click to exit.
- PDF export — multi-page A4 PDF with margins, lazy-loaded only when you click PDF.
- One-click upload — catbox.moe (no account) by default, or a custom HTTP endpoint you configure.
- Local capture history — last 30 captures with thumbnails for quick re-access.
Who it's for / common use cases
People look for tools like this when they want to:
- “Take a full-page screenshot in Chrome” — capture a long article, blog post, or documentation page top-to-bottom in one image.
- “Take a scrolling screenshot of a chat thread” — Discord, Slack, WhatsApp Web, ChatGPT, Claude conversations.
- “Batch screenshot a website and export as a ZIP” — capture many sections of a site in rapid succession and bundle them.
- “Annotate a screenshot with arrows and blur” — for bug reports, tutorials, redacting sensitive UI before sharing.
- “Generate a PDF from a webpage” — for offline review or printable archive.
- “Continuous burst capture” — clip many small UI elements from the same page without clicking the extension icon every time.
- “Free, private screenshot extension with no account” — everything is local; uploads only happen on explicit click.
How it works
- Click the extension icon on any webpage.
- Pick a capture mode: Scrolling Region, Region, Visible, or Full Page.
- For Scrolling Region / Region: pick the rectangle or element you want.
- The annotation editor opens with your capture loaded. Mark it up, then download, copy, upload, export to PDF, or send it to the queue.
- For batch workflows: turn on Multi-capture session in the popup, then take many captures — they queue silently. Open Queue when done to batch-export as ZIP.
